[ARCHIVED] City Requests Proposals for Internet Advertising Services

The City of Brookings is requesting proposals for Internet Advertising Services. The project will produce 20 minutes of video in four or more segements to be placed on internet appropriate sites such as YouTube and Viemo, as well as the City's website.

In February, the City Council approved the Tourism Promotion Advisory Committee's recommendation to use part of the City's 2012-13 Transient Occupancy Tax revenues to fund an internet advertising campaign to help increase area tourism. The project includes development and placement of videos on appropriate internet websites, formatting them for the City website and stand-alone marketing, and proposing a methodology for evaluating program effectiveness.

Additional Council approved tourism promotion projects are a television advertising campaign and incentives for off-season events. Project proposals for Off-Season Event Incentives are still being accepted and Council will vote on May 13 regarding the award for Television Advertising Services.

For details regarding the Internet Advertising Services and Off-Season Event Incentives RFPs, go to "Bids" from the E-services section in the left hand menu, or click on the "Bid Postings" link, below.
