Planning Underway for 84th Annual Azalea Festival

“Our Heroes”

The Azalea Festival is a long time Memorial Day weekend community event that celebrates the beauty of the Southern Oregon coast and has been awarded the “The Oregon Heritage Tradition” award.  Natasha Tippetts, with the City of Brookings, will be spearheading the coordination and has already made contact with festival participants and started the process to recruit vendors for the street fair.

The community celebrates with weekend activities that include the Azalea Festival Parade, Street Fair, Curry County Cruisers Car Show, Air Show, Chamber Shrimp Feed, Memorial Day Service, Elks deep pit  BBQ, Quilt Show, Library Book Sale, Flower/Plant Sale, live music concerts, a street dance, Sunday Community Church service, and more!

Applications for the Parade, Vendor Street fair and Grand Marshal are available at City Hall and on the City of Brookings website under the Visiting Tab and choose Azalea Festival.

Volunteers and sponsors are needed to help with Azalea Festival activities throughout the weekend. If you or your organization would like to help or if you are planning Azalea Festival weekend activities and would like to be included in the festival schedule, please contact Natasha Tippetts at City Hall, 541-469-1102 or ntippetts@brookings.or.us .
