The City of Brookings staff and consultants will be facilitating a Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting and Public Open House to discuss the Brookings Airport.
As part of the Brookings Airport Master Plan Update the City of Brookings and consultants will conduct up to five (5) Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) Meetings and two (2) Open Houses with members of the public and a select group of airport tenants, pilots, local & regional economic development interests, neighbors of the airport, and staff/representatives of the City to ensure a collaborative public involvement and master planning process.
The final meeting - PAC Meeting #5 - will include an interactive discussion between PAC members and the planning team designed to address the proposed implementation program, recommended strategies and actions for future land use, transportation, and environmental requirements; the Airport Capital Improvement Program (CIP); and current Airport Layout Plan (ALP) drawing set that graphically depicts existing conditions at the airport as well as proposed development projects.
PAC #5 will be held on August 24, 2021 and begin at 6:00 pm. The meetings will be held at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), Brookings City Hall, 898 Elk Drive, Brookings, OR 97415.
Due to the COVID-19 virus, meeting participants in the EOC will be limited and social distancing of six (6) feet will be required and maintained.
