Postponed City Council Hearing:
Riparian Ordinance scheduled for December 10, 2018
Rescheduled for January 14th, 2019
The Planning Commission recommended, to the Brookings City Council, approval of the ordinance. The Commission also recommended that, in the interim, staff work with the Department of Oregon Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) and the Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF) to investigate questions raised about specific riparian reaches, including updated assessment of fish-bearing status (the key determinant of the City’s “Riparian Corridors”).
At the November 6th, 2018 meeting, the City Council hearing for the ordinance was announced as December 10th, 2018 (the next regularly scheduled City Council meeting).
