[ARCHIVED] Variety of Options Available to Stay Informed

The City of Brookings offers several ways in which to stay informed about things going on in the City.

Besides its website feature entitled “Notify Me” which allows the user to specify which notifications they are interested in receiving, the City hosts a Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/City-of-Brookings-Oregon-379963458739804. Simply ‘Like’ the page to see City posts on your timeline. You can also Follow the City at Twitter account @BrookingsOR.

The “Notify Me” link and both the City’s Facebook page and Twitter account can be easily accessed from the City’s homepage at www.brookings.or.us.

Not a fan of electronic information, you can still view City meeting agenda packets and special notices in hard copy inside City Hall at 898 Elk Drive or at the Chetco Community Library at 405 Alder Street.

And finally, City staff disseminates agenda packets and press releases to an assortment of media outlets including the Curry Pilot newspaper and several radio and television stations.

The City encourages all citizens to take advantage of these easy ways to access information. An informed public is an engaged public.
