[ARCHIVED] Capella Opening for the Season

The Capella by the Sea in Azalea Park will be opening May 1st.  The Capella was built and donated to the City by Elmo Williams as a memorial to his late wife, Lorraine Williams.

If you are interested in volunteering a few hours a week or just a few hours each month to  keep the Capella open for the enjoyment of residents and visitors alike, this is your opportunity.  This is a one-of-a-kind volunteer activity, requiring no more effort than to welcome visitors to the Capella, sit at your leisure, work on the latest crossword puzzle, read a good book, pull out your sketch pad to capture images of the harbor, surrounding trees and unique architecture, or simply enjoy the spectacular views and light filled space for a few hours at a time.   Shifts are 2 hours in length from 10 am to 4 pm every day.

Capella  hours are subject to change based on volunteer availability and scheduled events.  To volunteer or for more information please contact Lauri at 541-469-1103.
