[ARCHIVED] After the Fire, Natural Resource Assistance Fair

Small business and woodland owners impacted by the Chetco Bar Fire are invited to attend an After the Fire, Natural Resource Assistance Fair on Tuesday, October 24 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at the Southwestern Community College Curry Campus, 96082 Lone Ranch Parkway, Brookings.

Representatives of Business Oregon, the Small Business Development Center, the Department of Consumer and Business Services, and other business assistance organizations will be on hand to meet with business owners.

Oregon Department of Forestry and Oregon State University Forester will provide technical information including: reforestation, seedling information, salvage harvesting, sources of professional assistance, resources and regulations, restoration, defensible space, and Sudden Oak Death.

“While our focus will be on those people within the fire perimeter that need assistance, the public is welcome to attend,” said ODF Stewardship Forester Stacy Savona.

This event is supported by OSU Extension and Oregon Department of Forestry in partnership with the Oregon Small Woodland Association (OSWA).
