Salmon Run Golf Course has reopened for business after Sherriff John Ward lifted the mandatory evacuation order affecting the golf course and other nearby areas this morning.
“The golf course is ready to play,” said Salmon Run manager Val Early.
The golf course had been closed for nine days as a result of an evacuation order issued by Sheriff John Ward in connection with the Chetco Bar Fire.
Salmon Run is offering a special re-opening rate of $40 which includes a golf cart. Residents of Brookings can also receive an additional discount. The course will be open normal hours 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily.
The onsite restaurant, Jack Creek Café, is expected to re-open Friday, September 1 if smoke conditions allow.
Patrons with lung or breathing issues should call the course prior to coming out to make sure air quality is safe.
