The City of Brookings, through its Tourism Promotion Advisory Committee (TPAC), is offering funding assistance for off-season events for the purpose of promoting tourism.
Funding assistance of varying levels is available for groups and individuals interested in undertaking new, sustainable, or expanded events during the off-season months of October through April, with the purpose of increasing tourism in the Brookings area.
The 2017-18 budget for this program is just under $30,000.
Proposals will be accepted on an ongoing basis and must be received at City Hall at least 60 days prior to the date of the proposed event. Events should align with TPAC’s stated goals of increasing overnight stays in local lodging establishments during the off season.
Event Proposal forms are available at the City Hall Visitors Center at 898 Elk Drive or online at www.brookings.or.us.
