[ARCHIVED] City to Dedicate Wasbauer Station

To commemorate seventeen years of outstanding public service while working at Curry Public Transit (CPT), the City of Brookings will dedicate the bus stop at Ray’s Food Place, 906 Chetco Avenue, in recognition of Joanne Wasbauer on Friday, October 21 at 11:00 a.m.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend the event which will be held on site at the bus stop.

While employed as the General Manager at CPT, Wasbauer was integral to securing funding for the bus stop. The bus stop was constructed in 2010, and CPT then conveyed it to the City of Brookings.

Wasbauer retired from CPT in May of 2015. She continues serving on the South West Area Commission on Transportation representing public transit.
