[ARCHIVED] Brookings Launches Online Business Newsletter

To better serve the needs of Brookings business owners, the City of Brookings has today launched a new electronic newsletter entitled Brookings Current that will be disseminated via an email distribution list to all City business license holders who have provided an email address to the City through the business licensing process.

The newsletter will contain information intended to assist business owners prepare for high volume events which might impact their business volume during certain periods.

It will also provide information about activities the City is involved in which are geared toward promoting business and tourism inside the City.

“Brookings business owners have a lot to offer visitors to our City, but may not have access to all the necessary information that can impact their businesses,” City Manager Gary Milliman. “With this newsletter, the City hopes to compile as much useful information as possible all in one resource.”

The City is actively attempting to acquire email addresses from those businesses which were licensed prior to 2012 (when email addresses became a standard field in the business licensing application.) For businesses who wish to be added to the email distribution list, please contact City Recorder Teri Davis at (541) 469-1102 or at tdavis@brookings.or.us. Only businesses which have a City of Brookings business license will be included in the distribution.
