Repairs to the access road to Salmon Run Golf Course will begin soon under a contract with the City of Brookings, City Manager Gary Milliman said today.
A $12,375 contract has been awarded to Tidewater Construction to repair the road, which has a number of drops and potholes between the entrance at South Bank Chetco River Road and the parking lot.
“This work will put the road in good shape as we continue to write a new chapter for the City-owned golf course,” Milliman said.
Work is expected to be completed by June 30. “Visitors to the golf course should expect to encounter road maintenance equipment and workers along the road for the next several weeks,” Milliman said.
The City will soon be contracting for repairs to the golf course clubhouse and cart roads. “The City assumed operation of Salmon Run in 2016 and we have found a lot of deferred maintenance that needs to be resolved,” Milliman said.
