[ARCHIVED] Southern Leg - Harris Bech Multi-Use Path under Construction

The southern leg of the Harris Beach multi-use path will have limited access to pedestrians until May 28th. The $84,000 ODOT funded project was awarded to Chris Dials Contracting and includes widening the path to ten feet, restoring overlooks, relocation of a portion of guardrail along Highway 101 and overlay of asphalt paving. Over Memorial Day weekend no work will occur and the path will be open to the public although it will have a gravel base in some sections. Paving is scheduled to begin June 1st and completed by June 10th.

The project is an extension of the northern leg which extends to Dawson Road and was completed in 2015 providing a 1.4 mile long pathway. At the completion of the southern leg the Harris Beach multi-use path will give residents and visitors nearly two miles of new and renovated pathways for biking, jogging, and walking.
