[ARCHIVED] City Seeking Volunteers to fill Committee/Commission Positions

The City of Brookings is seeking applicants to fill volunteer positions on the Parks and Recreation Commission, the Budget Committee, Tourism Promotion Advisory Committee, Public Art Committee, Traffic Safety Committee, and to serve as Capella Docents.

Interested applicants may pick up an application at the City Hall payment counter, 898 Elk Drive, Brookings, between 9:00 AM to noon and 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, or download an application from the Volunteer Opportunity page (see link below).

All positions are unpaid, volunteer positions and commitments in time and effort vary according to the Committee or Commission. Positions are filled by City Council vote upon recommendation by the Mayor.

In addition to appointed positions, the City is also seeking docents to help keep the Capella by the Sea open to the public during spring and summer months. Docent shifts are typically two hours per week.
