[ARCHIVED] The deadline to file for City Council Position #4 is Friday, January 15 at 4:30pm

The City of Brookings is now accepting applications to fill vacant City Council Position #4.

The City has thus far received 7 applications, however, Carla Gottlieb withdrew her application on January 13th, citing time commitment concerns. The 6 active applicants are; Adam Briggs, Roger Gilbert, Gary Klein, Richard Monstranski, Dennis Triglia and Don Vilelle.

The candidate appointed to fill Position #4 will complete the current term which ends in January, 2019.

Applicants for the position must be registered electors of the State of Oregon and City of Brookings residents for at least 12 months preceding appointment. Appointment is scheduled to take place Monday, January 25th, during a regular City Council meeting. Applicants must be present at the meeting to qualify for appointment. Residency and voter registration will be verified by the City and County Election Offices, respectively.

Applications are available at City Hall and may be downloaded from the below link. Completed applications must be received by the City Recorder, 898 Elk Drive, Brookings, no later than 4:30pm, Friday, January 15th, 2016. For more information call 541-469-1102.
