Brookings area residents can help improve the condition of the Azalea Park’s native azaleas by participating in an education program starting September 16.

Volunteers are invited to meet in the lower parking lot off Old County Road at 9:00 AM. Work parties will be formed and training will continue through 1:00 PM.

Master Gardeners and City staff will provide educational materials to volunteers and provide basic training in the pruning process.

Additional work party dates scheduled so far include Tuesday, September 22, 12:00 PM to 4:00 p.m., and September 28, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
