A two week project to apply a surfacing treatment to some 12,500 lineal feet of Brookings city streets is set to begin the week of August 31. Street closure in conjunction with the project are scheduled to begin September 9th.
Beginning September 9, street closures are scheduled to begin on 3rd Street between Midland and Brooke, Hidden Court, Midland Street, Highland Way, Crestwood Place, Cameo Court, 5th Street between Jodee and Hassett, View Court, Hassett Street between Midland and 5th, and Homestead Road.
On September 10, streets planned for closure include: 3rd Street from Midland to Ransom, 5th Street from Brooke to Jodee, and Hassett to Ransom, Hassett Street from Midland to 3rd Street, Julie Drive, View Court, Moore Street, Limbaugh Lane, Hemlock Street between Wharf and Fern, and Hazel Street.
Residents of the affected streets will receive notice by mail hand-delivered to their home with specific date and time information. The mailed notice will also include a map with suggested alternative parking locations. Temporary no parking signs will be posted on the affected streets.
