The rest area at Harris Beach State Park will be closed for approximately 24 hours, beginning around 9:00 AM on Wednesday, June 10. while technicians troubleshoot utility issues, State Park Ranger Anna Kruge advised City staff today.
Kruge also announced that the park will be closed for overnight camping from September 8, 2015 to May 25, 2016, while necessary utility upgrades and a paving project are being undertaken. No reservations will be taken for that time period. For the most part, the day use area will remain open, Kruge said, except for limited durations during the project period.
Kruge said that Park staff is hopeful and optimistic that the work will be completed prior to the scheduled completion date.
