The Phase I application for the Oregon Rural Resilience Incubator can now be viewed on the State's website. The application is for grant funding under the National Disaster Resilience Competition (NDRC) program.
The focus of the program as it relates to the Brookings-Harbor area is to address unmet needs occurring as a result of the 2011 tsunami disaster and to identify possible projects that would contribute to the resiliency of the community to recover from future natural disasters while also building a sustainable economy. Projects include improving community emergency preparedness through education, and physical improvements to water systems, emergency medical services, bridges and port facilities.
