The City of Brookings is seeking applicants for its Parks and Recreation Commission, Budget Committee, Tourism Promotion Advisory Committee, Public Art Committee and Traffic Safety Committee.
Interested applicants may pick up a Volunteer Application at the City Hall payment counter, 898 Elk Drive, Brookings, between 9:00 AM to noon and 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and on-line at http://www.brookings.or.us, under “Forms & Guidelines.”
All positions are unpaid, volunteer positions and commitments in time and effort vary according to the Committee or Commission. Positions are filled by City Council vote upon recommendation by the Mayor.
In addition to appointed positions, the City is also seeking docents to help keep the Capella by the Sea open to the public during spring and summer months. Docent shifts are typically two hours per week.
