[ARCHIVED] Donations sought for Katelyn's Cause

Chief Chris Wallace is pleased to announce the fourth annual trip to Doernbechers Children’s Hospital for Katelyn’s Cause. Katelyn’s Cause is in memory of Katelyn Wallace who lost her fight against cancer April 24, 2008; she had just turned 17.

Thanks to cash donations from the community, Katelyn's Cause is able to purchase gifts for children, ranging in age from a few months to 18 years old, who are forced to spend their holidays in Doernbechers' Oncology Ward. Because of their impaired immune systems, these children have restrictions on the types of gifts that can be brought into the ward and Katelyn's Cause works closely with hospital staff to ensure that these restrictions are honored.

To find out where to make a cash donations, or to learn more about the program, read the full press release below...or call Chief Chris Wallace or Lieutenant Donny Dotson at (541) 469-3118.
