[ARCHIVED] Daytime Lane Closures Expected on HWY 101 North of Brookings

Motorists should expect intermittent weekday lane closures on Highway 101 north of Brookings with flaggers in association with the Harris Beach Multiuse Path project, as brush and trees are cleared from the project area July 28 through August 6, according to ODOT.

Lane closures should also be expected between Dawson and Harris Beach from August 7 to August 29 while piles are being driven. Most delays are anticipated to be under 10 minutes. Daytime noise consistent with pile driving should also be anticipated in the neighboring vicinity.

All work is currently scheduled for the weekdays, but some weekend work may be necessary. Brush and tree removal work is scheduled to occur between 7am and 7pm, and pile driving between 8am and 6pm.

ODOT also recommends that motorists entering the highway from East Harris Heights Road wait at the stop sign until traffic clears or wait until they can see oncoming traffic and can safely turn on the highway before heading southbound.

To report concerns or learn more about the project, call ODOT at 541-957-3601.
