Candidate Process

Initial measure and candidate filings are made through the City Election Officer. Start the candidate process by meeting with the City Election Officer.

Elections are coordinated and conducted by the Curry County Elections office. 

Only registered City of Brookings residents may vote on City measures and City Council candidates. 

The Mayor (two year term) and two of the four Councilor positions (four year terms) are up for election every two years. Elections are held in even years.

On-line voter registration is available on the Oregon Secretary of State website. Ballots may also be obtained at the Brookings U.S. Post Office, located at 711 Spruce Street.
