Services Provided
The Brookings Police Department is a full service organization, offering coverage 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Brookings Police Department currently serves as the only Curry County law enforcement agency providing this level of service. The department also serves as the Southern Curry County 9-1-1 PSAP, dispatching for state, county, and local law enforcement, five fire departments, and Cal-Or Ambulance.
Full time staff include patrol officers, detectives, and communication officers. Additional divisions and special units within the department include apprehension and detection K-9 teams, School Resource Officer (SRO), Community Resource Officer (CRO), and participation in the South Coast Interagency Narcotics Task Force (SCINT).
